Sandbox Cards API degradation

We are experiencing a degradation to Cards API in Sandbox environment due to an issue with our vendor. Impacted areas include card creation and PIN actions.

Our vendor reports that the issue is expected to be mitigated in approximately one hour.

One of our card transaction processors, Marqeta, is experiencing an API degradation.
This is currently impacting the termination of Digital Wallet Tokens.
This incident has no impact on creation of new Digital Wallet Tokens.

[Retroactive] Production Cards API degradation

We experienced a degradation across our card API surface between 2025-03-23 15:57:32.508 EDT and 2025-03-31 16:07:38.197 EDT.
The degradation impacted our cards APIs, including card issuance, activation, list cards endpoint, card transaction processing, and the ability to obtain single-use client tokens to reveal card data to end-customers.

Impact has been mitigated.

Console sign-in is unavailable

Our authentication provider is currently taking an outage. Our team is monitoring the situation. API operations are not impacted.

Intermittent API 500 errors

Our team is investigating an increased rate of 500 errors across a variety of APIs, including internal transfers and fees.

There is currently no impact to card authorizations.

Maintenance

Upcoming Insights maintenance

This is to inform you of an upcoming scheduled maintenance for our Insights analytics platform (insights.synctera.com). We will implement important upgrades that will enhance the overall performance and reliability of the platform.

The scheduled maintenance will start on Sunday, 16th March at 11am PT. We expect the maintenance to be completed within an hour.

During this time, access to the system will be interrupted. We have scheduled this during off-peak hours to minimize workflow disruptions.

Due to our upstream provider's planned maintenance, creation of new check deposits will be unavailable during the following window:

Start: Saturday, March 1st 8:00PM PT (11:00 PM ET)
End: Sunday, March 2nd 2:00PM PT (5:00 PM ET)

All other API and platform functionality will be unimpacted.
